The Utilities Group
To the right of the Lists group we show our Utilities  group. This group includes functions that help us work with QuickBooks efficiently and safely.
The icons in this group give access to the Memorized Transactions and Reminders lists; and enable us to Backup our company data file and Find transactions easily. The Find feature is especially useful because with it we can find any transaction in QuickBooks with a few keystrokes.


 
The Reports Group
The Reports group gives us instant access to important information about our business. We can either add customized reports like Medical Insurance Liability and Employee Advances, or preset reports like Profit & Loss, A/R Aging Summary, and A/P Aging Summary to the Icon Bar.

Your Tool for Power Performance
There are additional icons that you may find useful like Reconciliation, Timer, Online and Pay Tax. It would be unwieldy to add all these icons to your Icon Bar, so you should pick and choose those that are most practical for you.
Remember that QuickBooks is your tool and that you should use it in a way that works for you. Therefore I encourage you to select the icons that are most meaningful to you so that it enhances QuickBooks to provide you with power performance.
